My Favorite Candles

July 8, 2020

Any one who knows me knows that I am obsessed with candles and I do mean OBSESSED! To the point where I have to consciously talk myself out of purchasing more candles. Pre-covid, I have been physically standing in a store, candle in hand telling myself, you know you got candles at home!☺ I fully blame this on my years of working as an assistant manager at Pier One. At least I’m pretty sure that is where my candle stash got it’s start!

But seriously, I have always enjoyed lighting candles around my home and now that we are stuck in the house, I may actually burn through my stash. Which is how I’m justifying that I recently broke my own rule and purchased two new candles that I just absolutely had to have. One of which was the Bath & Body Works scent, Palo Santo, which sadly is already gone from their website. Thank goodness I was able to snag two during their recent candle sale. Yes, I said two. Listen, I am fully aware of the problem! But I love the palo santo scent of this candle which is described as palo santo wood, warm amber and soft musk. If you are lucky and willing to venture out, you might be able to still find this candle in store. And Bath & Body Works if you are listening, you should definitely bring this one back. Please and thank you.

The second candle purchase is the one I really wanted to share with you today. I discovered this brand after hearing the popular influencer @tyalexander rave about this scent in her IG stories. I was tickled with her scent description being what one would imagine a fancy, well dressed, good looking man who is also the manager up in Heaven smelled like. I’m telling you the way that she was describing the scent of this candle coupled with the candle being called Forehead Kiss, just let me know immediately that I had to have it. By the way, shout out to the movie The Best Man, if you know, you know!

You guys!!!! This candle smells so yummy I can hardly stand it! Also I’m not at all mad at her description. She is not wrong! LOL!!! So you know the candle collector in me has already placed a second order from @theprivygroup. This soy candle is described as the perfect blend of femininity and masculinity with note of amber and black current and I can not get enough of it!

I shared this candle on my Instagram stories when it first arrived in the mail and a few people asked where they could purchase it. And since I am obviously in love with it and want everyone to know it and have it, I figured I should share it here as well. Go get it, trust me, your olfactory system will thank you!
