What’s In My Skincare Fridge

I know what you’re thinking, a skincare fridge, is that really necessary? Probably not, but it is one of life’s little luxuries that for me, puts the GLAM in Statuesque Glam. I’ve mentioned once or twice that I am not that far from turning fifty and as a result I started taking my skin care pretty seriously the last few years. And by seriously, I do mean purchasing ALL the skincare I can get my hands on. But having this cute little fridge close at hand to stash some of my products has made my skin care routine more enjoyable.

I have been loving my skincare fridge simply because when it’s hot outside, I enjoy the sensation of treating my skin to a chilled moisturizer or a cold sheet mask. Applying these cold products can help to de-puff your skin and increase circulation. Another benefit to having a skincare fridge is that if you love more natural products like I do, keeping them in a fridge can help to extend their shelf life.

Sure I could just make a little room in the refrigerator in the kitchen but who wants to have to wander to the kitchen to fetch their skincare? (although if you don’t have a skincare fridge I do suggest you at least chill your sheet masks in your refrigerator before applying during the summer, you can thank me later) This little mini fridge sits nicely on my makeup vanity where I can sit and leisurely apply skincare. I find that the whole process is more enjoyable when you can luxuriate in it. Like I said, GLAM.

Here’s a tip, I suggest initially purchasing your skincare items in trial or travel sizes as some full size items may not fit inside your skincare fridge. You can always repurchase the full size products later and use them to refill the smaller containers.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I’m using my skincare fridge. Leave me a comment and let me know what your thoughts are on having a skincare fridge and if you think its worth it! As always thanks so much for reading.
